Production of a Catalogue of Works of Arts by Digital Printing.

For a 500 copy run, due to customer’s budget, page layout was adapted to Igen3 Digital Press format (571 x 364 mm). For its production, as the customer wanted to capture as faithfully as possible the pictures reality, a set of calibrations were done, both spectrometric and densitometric, involving displays, scanners and Igen3 Digital Press.

In addition, an uncoated paper was used, suitable for the job, a 200 g/m² Lumi Silk provided by Idisa Papel, appropriate for capturing the works’ tonality.

Subsequently, covers were produced by digital printing, fitting maximum length of Press format, and were matt laminated, using an optimum material for digital printing.

Finally the books were bound in hard cover, using Smyth Sewing with vegetable thread.
